ZOZ objects can be ubiquitous - page 4 And I don't want a technology that ONLY operates automatically. I want a technology that CO-operates. I want intelligent objects to be there when I need them, but out of my way when I don't. If I want some fresh air, I don't want to have to issue a command: "Window: Open!" No, I want to just walk over to the window and open it! The window should sense that I opened it and just stop being automatic. The vents and fans in that room would also stop operating for a while, without being "told" to. Meanwhile other rooms would continue to operate automatically as usual. And once I am gone, the window could close itself and the room could revert to its automatic operation. I might never even realize that I had just been in a room that was equipped to operate automatically! Sometimes I want to turn on my windshield wipers just to enjoy watching them wipe. And sometimes I want them to beat in time to the song I'm singing! But when I'm battling traffic in a rainstorm I don't want to have to put any attention on them at all. They should just "know" to become automatic and handle it.
